Daisy keeps prices to Daisy Experts down for another year

With the peak summer months approaching, we all want to increase sales … but not costs!

Daisy is on your side.

Working hard behind the scenes, our operations and supply teams had a clear focus despite cost increases – that is to hold our pricing to you for another year. We’ve done it!

At Daisy, we have committed to maintaining our current pricing level to all Daisy Experts, despite a number of factors that have put pressure on us, including increasing aluminium prices, increasing labour costs along with freight rises and many other ancillary costs.

Looking forward, always.

Innovation, efficiencies and service have always been our hallmark. We like to look forward with constant development and improvement to build the market share and volumes that in turn builds economies of scale into the business. This not only results in innovation but helps us to offset increased costs.

With the introduction and fantastic response of the new Under Bench Roller and the pre-cut pool cover service and dig template parts of the business having increased substantially, we have been able to generate the volume to be able hold the pricing for another year.

Daisy Under Bench Roller is a hot seller

What a launch!

Recently released, the new Daisy Under Bench Roller has been selling fast … in the middle of winter!

Set to be this summer’s hottest seller!

With summer just around the corner, it’s a perfect time to focus on a high selling and on trend product to max your sales. To help you sell more, here are some answers we have put together to some FAQs.

  1. Custom made: We custom make every Under Bench Roller to suit the pool. That’s right, order the UBR to the right pool measurements and we custom build the unit to suit.
  2. Two easy price points: For all 3 colour models, there is a price for a UBR to suit a pool width up to 2.8m and another price for over 2.85m and up to 6.0 meters wide.
  3. How to price: It’s simple! For example – if you have a 4.0m wide pool, the price is for the large size (up to 6.0m) but Daisy will make the UBR seat 4.5m long with a tube length 4.25m long. We are trying to make it as easy as possible for you to sell and for your customers to get exactly what they need
  4. C sections: The small size (up to 2.8m pool) has 1 centre C section while the large size has 2 centre C sections
  5. Height and weight: The UBR has a standard seating height 510mm and is 505mm wide
  6. The hand wheel can be mounted on either size
  7. It can be installed up to 1 meter away from the pool
  8. There are three colour combinations of leg and bench:
    • Clear Anodised seat bench with powder coated anodic colour frames and seat end caps
    • Light Oak wood look powder coated aluminium seat bench with powder coated black colour frames and seat end caps
    • Western Red Cedar wood look powder coated aluminium seat bench with powder coated black colour frames and seat end caps

      The winner! The Western Red Cedar has been the most popular since the release to date.

  9. No Over Cover is needed. The seating planks fully protect the pool cover from the sun
  10. The UBR is supplied fully drilled ready to assemble in a flat pack. Installation requires bolting the unit together and then to the ground. We supply the masonry drill bit and anchors to bolt it down
  11. Dispatch is normally within 4 working days, not the normal next working day. If there is a pool cover with the UBR all items will be dispatched together
  12. Want power – stand by! It’s in the pipeline with the timing tbc
  13. Retro fit? The UBR is custom made to the pool size and the tube needs to fit correctly between the frames, so unfortunately it can’t be retro fitted

Goodbye Berlin and Venice

After five years we say goodbye to the Berlin and Venice.

Whilst the high-end power rollers were great and were popular in its time, lower sales volumes had indicated that they’re less on trend. So always wanting to stock only the best selling products for you, we’re shifting our focus. Daisy will run out the last of the Berlin and Venice stock and will discontinue the lines when stocks run out.

Always backing our products, we will continue to support the product for many years to come.

And Hello Daisy Power!

On the other hand, the Daisy Power Roller is a phenomenally successful product. This power roller has grown from strength to strength since its introduction. With two remote controls, programmable roll function and disengage, the Daisy Power sales have been steadily growing to become a strong and reliable product for all our sales.

The Perfect Fit with Pre Cut and Dig Templates

If you have a pre-manufactured fibreglass style pool, Daisy can pre-cut the pool cover to size so you don’t have to.

 

Take the risk out of the equation. 

Daisy Dig Templates are useful in helping to accurately set out the pool location and mark out the dig on fibreglass pools.

Sales / Dig Templates are used to position the pool in the yard to get the sizing and positioning just right for your customer. It saves time and second guessing as your customer will be able to see the pool and what it will look like in its actual setting.

It’s a great sales tool as well as it guarantees a perfect fit for the pool cover – an easier sell!

 

What colour would you like?

Dig Templates are traditionally black in colour and made out of durable polyethylene (PE) material.  Because black is sometimes difficult to visualise as pool water, Daisy also has them in blue!

Daisy Launches New Sand Filter Change Bags

Listening to the industry has always been a hallmark of how we work at Daisy. It helps us drive innovation and deliver to you market leading and relevant products to help you sell more!

 

The problem: The sand filter blues…

We all know the problem the service tech’s have when they scoop or pump out the sand from the filter…what do they do with it after?

Some empty the sand on a tarp, the floor, or paving to let the water drain and then use buckets to move the sand to their vehicles to dispose of it.

Messy, painful and … there has to be a better way!

 

The solution: Daisy innovation

Over the last few months, we have been asked by a few pool shops to come up with an idea to address this issue. We used our strong and porous WinterKleen material as a base product to come up with the perfect free standing bag capable of holding the wet sand that comes out of the sand filter after a media change.

After a few trials and modifications we have done it! We created a bag that can take the weight of sand and be porous enough to allow the water to drain through.

The testing was a resounding success with orders already coming in strong.

 

The technology behind the quality – what you need to know.

The sand bags are made from the WinterKleen material so they let the water drain out, and are super strong.

Using Teflon sewing thread, the same that we use for the WinterKleen covers, we have a tried and tested material to ensure that you won’t have any issues on the quality of  the stitching.

For easy transport and added strength, we have designed in two 25mm polypropylene webbing handles that are sewn completely under the bag to support the weight.

The new Daisy sand bags are strong enough to hold 10-15 kgs – more weight than you can safely carry so don’t over fill the bags and hurt yourself!

We’ve also given a lot of thought on the design of the bag. The sturdy design is engineered to allow the bag to sit up on its own and maintain its shape for easy filling.  By folding over the sides (1/3 to ½ of the way down), it makes it even easier to stand up.

What pool debris?

However, I’m not sure too many people can make this boast – my pool cleaner died last summer so my pool hadn’t seen a vacuum of any sort since before Easter. There were only two baskets of debris at the bottom of the pool – after six months! The pool cover did have a fair bit of rubbish on top – but it was no trouble to sweep off (and then scoop up) as I rolled up the blanket three weeks ago to get ready for summer.

I’m pretty sure I use less pool chemicals – sun kills chlorine and the need for pool stabiliser is also reduced because the blanket solves that problem.

The last thing I will say is that I was very worried about spending money in 2004 and having to replace the blanket at some unknown point in the future. Given that my Daisy Pool Cover is 12 years old, I will happily tell anyone that Daisy’s guarantee is solid!”

Note: 316 stainless steel in certain environments can get a discolouring mould appearing on the surface that may look like rust (especially indoors in high chlorine or low air flow). This discolouration is not rust. Rust is a red oxide on the surface that flakes off, whereas the mould can be washed and scrubbed off with a light bleach and non-abrasive kitchen cloth sourer. If stainless steel is scratched, the marks will not affect the performance of the product. Scratches and marks are not covered under the warranty.

Ducks or No Ducks!

Cute or messy?

At certain times around Australia, we’ll see beautiful wild ducks flying over our properties. And some of these ducks even call our pools home!

Cute? Hmmm… anyone who has had the unfortunate experience of even a single pair of ducks moving in will tell you they make one heck of a mess!

Duck excrement will dramatically change your pool chemistry. If the ducks swim in your pool, you will notice fairly quickly just how dramatic the change can be. They also tend to make your pool surrounds very messy and unpleasant.

And once the ducks have found your pool, they will keep coming back…until you do something about it.

A pool cover will stop ducks!

It is that simple! Place a pool cover over your pool, whether it be a solar pool cover or a WinterKleen cover, and as long as the water is covered the ducks will stop visiting. They will fly to another home and leave you in peace…apart from the big mess they might have left you!
