Pre-cut pool covers guarantee your customers a 100% perfect fit

Watch this video on how pre-cut pool covers are cut.

What can you see in the video

Firstly, a dig template  being cut out of single width heavy duty 200um builders plastic. These are normally for the water line and the coping however your customers can request any size. Dig templates work to get the exact pool location both at time of sale and digging the pool.

Next, you’ll see a ThermoTech foam spa pre-cut cover being cut out perfectly round. Then finally, you’ll see a solar pool pre-cut cover being cut out. Using the data we have, we can manipulate the pool size to supply a pool cover waterline or with a variance of different length upturns.

A 100% perfect fit using precision technology.

Daisy has been collecting valuable customer data on fibreglass and pre-manufactured pool shapes for nearly a decade. This extensive data archive combined with using our precision CAD technology allow us to supply quality pre-cut pool covers to perfectly fit a new pool installation, regardless of unique shape and size requirements.

Whether it is a pool cover to fit waterline, up the side of the pool or with a variance of different length upturns; we can easily manipulate data to suit your customer requirements with 100% accuracy.

Our CAD technology shows the actual cutting format to help us manipulate the data like in the screenshots below.

Pre-cut covers save time in double handling. Not to mention that they give a perfect fit. The installer can install the cover onto the roller right after the pool is installed, even when there is no water in the pool! They don’t take us long to dispatch either.

In the time you’ve made yourself a cup of coffee, we’ve already cut, rolled and packaged up your customer’s pre-cut cover ready to be dispatched and sent from our warehouse. Get your customer to order a pre-cut cover today!

Daisy ‘Get a Quote’ tool links you with your customer

Are you missing out on sales? Learn how the process works!

The ‘Get a Quote’ ordering tool located on the Daisy website is a great marketing device for Daisy Experts wanting to maximise sales.

With around two thirds of people researching on the internet before making a purchase, this online tool allows us to take customers out of the market before they step into it. In the absence of an online presence for many Daisy Experts, our ‘Get a Quote’ tool is one way we are directly linking you – the expert – with the potential customer.

In essence, WE receive a commitment from the customer to buy a Daisy product and then they visit your store to purchase it. YOU handle the questions on the how and why and then (hopefully!) convert the sale. Remember that all margins from these online sales will be passed onto the local Daisy Expert selected online by the customer.

However potential sales leads may be being lost. We don’t want you missing out on sales by not fully understanding how the ‘Get a Quote’ process works; what the emails mean, how to follow up and what can be done to convert the sale. In our commitment to making it easier for you – we’ve explained it here for you!

HOW THE PROCESS WORKS:

The process - Daisy

NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE ORDER THAT DAISY REACTS TO – THREE EMAILS ARE SENT:

  • TO THE CUSTOMER: Advising them of their purchase and your contact details showing where to go in and pay you for their order.
  • TO YOU, THE DAISY EXPERT: Informing you in advance that your customer has made a commitment to buy a Daisy from you. If they don’t come into pay for it then it is an IDEAL opportunity to contact them directly to follow up on the sale. Once they have made their payment, then you make the order to Daisy.
  • TO US AT DAISY: Advising us what you will be ordering.

We hope this work flow helps you visualise the whole process. If you have any questions about how any of this works, feel free to contact us at [email protected]. We’d be only too happy to help!

Approaching Winter and Rain: Your To-do List

Winterising your pool in four quick steps.

Changes in weather conditions bring along change to your swimming pool water balance.

It’s important to bare this in mind as we lead into the winter season when we trade splashing around in the water for huddling in front of the fireplace. Dramatic changes to your pool water levels can cause havoc to your water chemistry, especially when you add leaves to the equation. Rain, leaves and other organic matter can add a whole new dimension to the water environment.

What happens to my pool when it rains? When more (or less) rain water lands in your pool it changes the overall chemical concentration. Put simply, the rain dilutes your pool chemical concentration. The more rain you have in your pool, the more the fresh water will dilute the salt and chlorine levels.

Four steps to winterising your pool

  1. Make sure your chemicals are balanced – use a test kit or pop into your local pool professional to get some sound advice
  2. Tidy your pool – clear any unwanted debris, toys or objects
  3. Drain the water out of your pool – keep the water level half to two thirds up your skimmer box
  4. Protect your pool with a pool cover!

Like, share and comment on these tips – let us know if you find this useful! We’d love to hear from you.

Saving time and guaranteeing a perfect fit using ‘dig templates’

Q. Why do fiberglass pool installers love dig templates?

A. Because it saves them time and it guarantees a perfect fit cost effectively!

A pool template can easily be laid out letting your customer visualise it in their very own backyard – a great advantage as they can see exactly where the pool will be even before they dig the hole! It confirms the location and pool positioning making it easy for the customer to approve it.

Making it easy for you. Daisy uses the same electronic 3D measuring point plotting and cutting method as used in our pre-cut technology to cut dig templates, which are cut-outs of the exact pool shape made out of special width builders plastic.

Your customer’s new pool template is laid out in their backyard, correctly placed as the outside is marked with marking paint. Once everyone is happy, digging begins!

This degree of accuracy and precision used in measuring and collecting the data guarantees a perfect fit for your customer’s pool every time – a win/ win for everyone and it’s not expensive given the time it saves you and the confidence it gives your customer!

3 reasons your customer should choose a pre-cut pool cover

Latest pre-cut technology makes it easier all year round especially in the cooler, wetter months.

  1. You can sell more.

  2. You can make more money.

  3. A shorter turnaround process – can be all done in one visit to site!

Daisy’s pre-cut technology allows the installer to install your customer’s pool, connect their cover to roller, and leave the set up on their roller all without water in their pool. Eliminating the need to return to the site to measure up and cut to shape saves your customer a substantial amount of time, money and double handling as it will all be taken care of in the first instance.

Pre-cut pool covers are the easiest and most effective covers that can be tailored to your customer’s unique pool shape and size. They provide the perfect fit for pools made from both fibreglass or from pre-manufactured moulds.

We use an electronic 3D measuring point capturing device to measure the pool’s shape. All measurements are recorded electronically for precision computer plotting and cutting and help us to be able to reproduce a pool cover to the exact shape of the pool. This degree of accuracy used in measuring and collecting the data guarantees a perfect fit for your customer’s pool! Check out this video.
