This #1 question from our customers only has one reply… That’s great, so what are you trying to achieve?

Before we blindly quote a price, it is up to us as Experts to find out what solution our customer is after by spending time with them to find out what they really want.

After all that’s what they are looking for and are coming in to your store to ask for advice… not the cheapest price!

Quality time spent together to gather enough information to provide solutions is how to win sales. No, we don’t mean at the cost of driving price down; it’s so we can be on the same wave length as our customer.

Ask questions! Query your customer to find out their desires or problems so you can tailor your response and recommendation. By doing this, you will have your customer saying ‘yes, I want that one’ before any price is mentioned.

Query your customer until they divulge what they want, they don’t know how to buy from you so the ‘how much for a pool cover’ question is not asking you to give a dollar amount, it is a question stating that they have a need for something from us and now it is up to us to fulfil that need or desire.

Last call before Christmas

Orders for pre-Christmas deliveries right up to 17th December

It’s been a cracking start to the season and by now we are already looking towards Christmas for a small reprieve (phew). It’s only our guess that few industries around Australia have been as busy as the pool industry!

You’ll be pleased to hear that Daisy does not close down over the Christmas period; except for the public holidays. We will be receiving, processing and dispatching all orders as they are received.

To ensure you receive your deliveries before the jolly man slides down the chimney, last expected pre-Christmas deliveries will need to be dispatched by 18th December so orders will need to be processed by 17th at the latest.

Ho! Ho! Ho! As the hard working Daisy elves will be dispatching all the way up to and over the Christmas period, most orders dispatched from 21st and 22nd may well be delivered before the big day.

However just so you know, even though delivery times may blow out while the transport companies recover from their Christmas pudding, Daisy will still work to our usual turnaround time of a day or two to custom make and dispatch your orders.

#bestaussieselfie has begun

Time to get involved!

As Australia’s favourite pool cover, we want you to have a bit of fun and sell more over the upcoming season! To help, we’re all set for another summer promo #bestaussieselfie!

Supporting this is a full-on digital marketing and social media campaign and of course, your point of sale tools. Have you got the A5 tent cards we sent displayed in your store? The pocket cards are also for you to keep in your pocket or in-store to help you start the conversation with your customers, and even your friends and family.

Feel free to give them away to encourage them to participate. There’s a very cool Apple Watch to be won each month! Spread the news!

That’s right! If one of your customers wins they get an Apple Watch and $500 of pool stuff to spend in store with you. Daisy will pay you $500 for your customer to use in store in any way they want… pool servicing, products and more; as long as you sell it they can buy it.

Get everyone involved by taking Aussie inspired selfies around the pool, sharing them on the Daisy Facebook page and Instagram. Feel free to post about the campaign on your own Facebook page, share and encourage people to enter. Plus, it gives you a fun point of interest to talk about in store.

Your new Expert Login has given many of you the opportunity to securely pay monthly accounts via the NAB credit card gateway. Not to mention the ease of placing orders directly to Daisy using the order functionality.

With this fast paced tech age of login names and passwords, the last thing any of us want is for our customers to have to dig through an old file of old receipts for them to find out when they bought something from us. Remember how we did last summer? The #bestsplashchallenge did well. We built an engaged audience around fun in the backyard pool, encouraging and doing what we all do… jump in and make a splash! You were involved and your support was excellent; many happy with us promoting their shop to their customers through a non-standard promotional medium.

The number of entrants over the three-month campaign exceeded our expectations, the exposure of the challenge to consumers was also beyond our expectations, and the interaction with our consumers was absolutely fantastic.

No longer is it a level playing field…

We’re now extending value on dealing with pool shops as a service provider, and installer!

By changing the playing field, price objection for customers is lost… no longer are we talking about: “I want a cheap pool cover”. If you have a ‘price only’ conscious buyer who wants a product at the lowest price regardless, then you are never going to convert them. Much the same way in that we will not get the mass merchant customer. This is not the market where anyone can survive… as no one wins a race to – rock-bottom.

Pool shops and technicians are a specialist business that offers quality advice and support along with full service. If an end user confronts you with an internet price then we can reply with: “Yes, but with us you receive the 10 year extended warranty”, so no longer is it a level playing field.

Price is price however we need not match an internet price as we are now extending value on dealing with the good old bricks and mortar pool shop as a service provider and an installer, so even if it is the same product… it’s a different price and different end service.

We should not price match the internet with or without a different product, be aware of what you are trying to compete with and up sell a product with extra value…

The Daisy Warranty is without doubt the best in our industry. We actually deliver – with care.

Not only are we now making it easier for your customers to keep track of their purchase from you by giving them the ability to register their purchase online at daisypoolcovers.com.au – our warranties now go for up to 10 years! This means that if they ever have a problem, they can send an enquiry via our website or just call us. We’ll have all their details on record. You’re welcome to do so too!

Did we say 10 years! As of 1st July, we extended the Series 8 pool cover pro-rata warranty from eight to 10 years – but only if they get you, our Expert installer to install it for them, that’s you!. That’s an incentive you can sell to them.

What can you see in the video

Firstly, a dig template  being cut out of single width heavy duty 200um builders plastic. These are normally for the water line and the coping however your customers can request any size. Dig templates work to get the exact pool location both at time of sale and digging the pool.

Next, you’ll see a ThermoTech foam spa pre-cut cover being cut out perfectly round. Then finally, you’ll see a solar pool pre-cut cover being cut out. Using the data we have, we can manipulate the pool size to supply a pool cover waterline or with a variance of different length upturns.

Daisy has been collecting valuable customer data on fibreglass and pre-manufactured pool shapes for nearly a decade. This extensive data archive combined with using our precision CAD technology allow us to supply quality pre-cut pool covers to perfectly fit a new pool installation, regardless of unique shape and size requirements.

Whether it is a pool cover to fit waterline, up the side of the pool or with a variance of different length upturns; we can easily manipulate data to suit your customer requirements with 100% accuracy.
