Note: 316 stainless steel in certain environments can get a discolouring mould appearing on the surface that may look like rust (especially indoors in high chlorine or low air flow). This discolouration is not rust. Rust is a red oxide on the surface that flakes off, whereas the mould can be washed and scrubbed off with a light bleach and non-abrasive kitchen cloth sourer. If stainless steel is scratched, the marks will not affect the performance of the product. Scratches and marks are not covered under the warranty.

Have you noticed the Register Your Warranty link at the bottom of the website?

As you know, all Daisy pool covers are warranted. Encourage your customers to register their warranty as it makes it so much easier for them – no more trying to find their receipts years later!

It’s simple! Click on the link, fill in the details and load up the receipt. Daisy looks after it from there. If something happens and they need to place a warranty claim, we have them covered! We’ll have all their information as well as the receipt (which would have probably even have faded!) on file. No need for them to hunt for the receipt or worse still – ask you to find out when they purchased their Daisy from you.

With a bumper start to August and September, Daisy is swinging into summer production!

Daisy Launches Summer of 2016-17 Range

Wow what a response to the new range!

Released only a few weeks ago, Daisy’s Summer of 2016-17 new pool cover range has had an overwhelming response on all fronts! It’s the magic formula of keeping the style on trend and continued innovation in the product quality that has proved a winner!

Keeping it simple – three categories! Daisy has simplified the solar pool cover range to three main categories:

The premium 525 range is the most popular choice, with a 10 year pro-rata warranty when purchased from a Daisy Expert retail outlet.

Making it easy – a simplified range! The new pool cover names now correspond to the total material thickness of the pool cover (microns).

What’s changed?

  • 250B: Replacing the old Series 3 (200um) pool cover, the 250B has been upgraded to 250um. The three year pro-rata warranty is maintained.
  • 525: Replacing the old Series 8 (500um) range is the 525um product. Five percent thicker, it gives your customers that premium feel in the product. Added to this is the stylish on trend Titanium range of colours and there is no comparing this product to anything else.

What not changed?

  • The old Series 5 (400um) product remains unchanged, but the name has changed to 400B

What’s gone?

  • The old Series 4 (300um) product has been discontinued.

All Daisy solar pool covers continue to be manufactured using the industry leading UltraDome™ bubble technology with more material in the highest wearing part giving your customers a product that performs and lasts for longer than any other.

New training modules have also been completed. Contact your Daisy Area Manager if you would like to book in store training for yourself or any of your staff.

Attachments and refit kits

Did you know that all Daisy rollers are supplied with a Cover Attachment Kit and an over-cover to suit the roller? And that pool covers are supplied simply as a cover but there’s a refit kit if you need it.

If you need to connect the pool cover to any roller, the Daisy Refit Kit has you covered!

Part number 092 – Daisy Refit Kit

All Daisy Refit Kits are equipped so you can connect a Daisy pool cover to any Daisy roller.  Each kit includes:

  • 10 x Cords
  • 10 x Cord adjusters (so you don’t have to tie knots)
  • 10 x Eyelets
  • 1 x Eyelet punch (to make the hole in the pool cover for the eyelet)
  • 10 x Feather plugs
  • 1 x Drill bit for feather plugs

And the only tools you will need are a:

  • Power drill
  • Phillips head screwdriver
  • Soft-faced hammer or mallet

Everything else is you need is included, even the correct drill bits!

Part number 1007 – Eyelets

If all you need are the eyelets, simply order an Eyelet Kit which includes 10 x eyelets and an eyelet punch.

Handy Hint

To make sure your Refit Kit or Eyelet Kit includes matching parts to your pool cover, be sure to include the colour of your Daisy, or its corresponding part number i.e. for a Titanium Green pool cover you will need Titanium Green eyelets.

Let your customers know you supply pool covers

In today’s digital world, the old saying ‘look after your customer or someone else will’ could not be more true!

Today’s consumer is more educated and has more information at their fingertips so as a service orientated industry we must constantly tell them what we do, along with what we can do for them.

A lesson learnt a few years ago was in the drought era, when a customer walks in-store – unless you 100% know that they have a pool cover – you would offer them one. Along with most savvy service people, when they turned up onsite, if there was not a pool cover there they would simply leave a quote for one.

The people that adopted this mentality would sell a whole lot more pool covers and rollers than those that waited for their customers to find out about covers and ask them.

Today we don’t have the same drought but the theory does not change, let you customers know regularly what products and services you have available… you don’t want them ‘finding’ a product you supply elsewhere as this is a fast way to lose a good customer, so keep informing them by word of mouth, emails, SMS or even simply by leaving a quote.

A great way some people achieve this is by having a product of the month, whether it be a Daisy pool cover, a pool cleaner, monthly onsite service or anything else make sure everyone who has any contact with the consumer all offer the product of the month, just a way to keep your customer informed what you do and to open conversations to help you sell more.

Over the last few months, we have been hard at work making some cool new improvements and changes (that your customers will love) to our pool cover range, including a brand new non-heating cover…

Solar Cover Product Upgrade

S8 Silver BackNow gone!

S8 Green – Upgraded to Titanium Green (TG+)

S8 Solar Screen – Daisy has unlocked the next generation of non-heating pool covers and is now upgrading this cover to a brand new reflective, non-heating pool cover – Series 8 Titanium Cool (S8 TC)

The unique reflective properties means the new S8TC will reflect the sun’s heat while not absorbing it into the pool cover material, so it transits virtual zero sunlight and heat into the water. 

Why this non-heating technology is better:

  • Total sun block out
  • Evaporation and cooling control
  • Modern colour looking better (and cooler) for longer.

More information on this new product to come! A complete shake up of standard blue pool covers is also imminent so stay tuned. Daisy is aiming to make a product range that is clear and concise to make supplying a Daisy as easy as possible.
